Most people already have an AI tab open. They ask it to rewrite an email, plan a trip, or explain a scatter plot. That is useful. It is also why the word “companion” makes them step back.
They have seen the ads. They have seen the uncanny ones. They do not want a thing that pretends to love them. They do not want a therapist in a browser. They do not want something that will write their child’s essay, or harvest a lonely night for ads.
So we do not lead with AI. We lead with a name.
Luna. Rex. Finn. Sage. Nova. Aria. You pick one, you talk, they stay. Luna the Empathetic Listener, Nova the Energetic Motivator, Finn the Funny Best Friend, Sage the Wise Teacher, Rex the Straight Talker, Aria the Creative Soul. They will not finish your coursework. They will not diagnose you. If things get serious they point to real help: Samaritans, Childline, 999. Then they stay in the ordinary stuff: the flat that went quiet, the revision that will not start, the day you needed someone to ask how you actually are.
That is the whole product. Company. A character with rails. Built in the UK, used wherever you are, for people 13 and over.
If it ever sounds like “just another AI”, we have missed. The test is simple: would you send this page to someone who is a bit lonely, without feeling you were selling them a gadget?
